My longest ride to date

Leg PressI am now including some gym work as part of my training, focusing on my core muscles to give me greater support while on the bike.

3 times a week I am hitting the gym, working to the following plan:

Abdominal Exercises

  • 30 seconds Bicycle Kicks
  • 60 seconds Elbow Plank
  • 30 seconds Straight Leg Lifts
  • 30 seconds Russian Twists
  • 30 seconds Mountain Climbers
  • 40 seconds Superman Plank
  • 60 seconds Side Plank (left)
  • 60 seconds Windshield Wipers
  • 60 seconds Side Plank (right)
  • 30 seconds Bicycle Kicks
  • 30 seconds Mountain Climbers

Strength Exercises

  • Lat pull down 2×15
  • Leg curl 3×8
  • Leg press 3×8
  • Chest press 3×8
  • Shoulder press 3×8
